About Lizzy
I have been seeing people for hypnotherapy since I trained in 2016. Since then I have helped a range of clients with problems ranging from OCD to weight loss. I have particular experience with treating anxiety, but am happy to help clients with a variety of problems.

I practice solution focused hypnotherapy, which means my sessions are centered around helping the client achieve their goals. Unlike traditional therapy, which delves into past events and can feel invasive to some people, our sessions will explore how you think about the future.
We often think about future events in a negative light. We worry we'll say the wrong thing, or people won't like us. We spend so much energy imagining the worst things that could happen that it can actually affect our mood. We feel sad, stressed and angry over events which are purely hypothetical. All this worrying can cause us to burn out before the actual event, and reduce our enjoyment of it, even though in reality, nothing goes wrong.
Now imagine if instead of thinking about the worst things that could happen, you instead focused on the best things. You'd feel relaxed and happy when you think about future events. You wouldn't suffer burn-out from unnecessary worrying and when the actual event came round you would be able to enjoy it without fear.
Our brains can't take in everything at once, so when we focus on the negative, that is all we see. Fortunately, by using a combination of NLP, CBT and pioneering psychological techniques, solution focused hypnotherapy can help you shift your personal lens to a more realistic, positive world view.
