I believe that student engagement is the key for learning, learning retention and making classroom experiences fun for kids.
My typical class one hour would start with a mind-warming exercise (example: dictation or story narration etc.) for 5 minutes, followed by revising previous days' chapters for 10 minutes. Next 35 minutes teaching new chapter and last 10 minutes involves an interactive session to understand the learnings of student and also help them think in different perspectives, form their thoughts and put them in a sentence.
