About Elena

I am an IGCSE and IB Spanish teacher with 10 years of experience working in different schools in the U.K. education system. Such schools include the International School using the International Baccalaureate curriculum and States Schools using the British curriculum. I hold a BA honors in Spanish Language and Literature from Athens, Greece. This is recognized by the U.K. NARIC (National Agency for the Recognition and comparison of International qualification and skills). I hold all the qualifications in order to teach in the UK and overseas. In my last job, I taught Social Studies in a DLI immersion program in the USA.

Now, I am working in an International School teaching KS3, KS4, Year 12, and Year 13 and preparing students for the Spanish IGCSEs and International Baccalaureate
“Spanish B” examinations. If you are aiming for an A* in your IGCSE or IB Diploma, I am fully conversant with the National Curriculum and the IB structure and familiar with the specifications of every single examination body. I know the nature of the exams very well, every year I steer many students to success.

The way I work online is face-to-face, ensuring the personal touch as if we were having the lesson in your house. Working Via Skype and using the latest interactive resources, I communicate in a very visual way, always accommodating your needs by preparing an individual tailored teaching program for you.

I stay in touch most of the time and am also quite flexible with appointments, do not hesitate to contact me and we will find the most suitable time for your lesson!

About the lesson

I emphasize the constant use of Spanish in order to encourage well-rounded progress. My Spanish teaching methods encourage students to interact and speak with me in Spanish, allowing them to use the language in a variety of contexts. My teaching method ensures that students will learn the language by exploring Spanish culture, current affairs, sports, dance, art, human rights, and business.
