About Theo

Inspiring students to create and express themselves through music is my greatest passion. With Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I bring a combination of formal training, performance experience, and 13 years of teaching expertise to every lesson. I begin by teaching foundational skills such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, gradually moving into improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is introduced in a practical, song-based way that helps students understand and apply concepts immediately. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and musical preferences, fostering engagement, motivation, and creativity.

I emphasise technical proficiency alongside expressive playing to help students communicate emotion and artistry. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises are integral components of my teaching. Students explore multiple genres, from classical and jazz to rock, blues, and pop, broadening their musical vocabulary. I provide structured practice routines, detailed feedback, and strategies to overcome challenges while keeping lessons enjoyable. Milestones are celebrated to encourage perseverance and confidence. I promote improvisation, composition, and personal expression to help students develop a unique musical voice.

Lessons balance discipline, creativity, and artistic freedom to ensure effective learning. Over time, students gain technical mastery, performance readiness, and expressive artistry. Teaching guitar is more than instruction—it is mentorship, inspiration, and personal growth. My ultimate goal is to empower students to play confidently, creatively, and authentically. Every lesson is an opportunity to nurture skill, artistry, and lifelong love for music.

About the lesson

Music education has the power to change lives, and that belief inspires everything I do as a guitar tutor. With Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I’ve dedicated my career to sharing the art and science of playing the guitar. My lessons combine technical mastery with creativity, ensuring a balanced approach to learning. I start with the fundamentals—chords, scales, and rhythm—then build towards improvisation, composition, and performance.

I emphasise discipline, self-expression, and patience throughout the process. My goal is to make every student feel comfortable, confident, and motivated. I use real songs, dynamic exercises, and personalised goals to make progress visible. Each lesson includes clear feedback and structured practice plans. I also teach how to connect emotionally with your instrument and audience. I take pride in helping students grow not just as musicians, but as thinkers and creators. For me, teaching is more than instruction—it’s mentorship through music.
