About Maya
I earned my M.A. in French from Seattle University and have 7 years of tutoring experience. I studied abroad at Université Paris-Sorbonne, where I taught English conversation classes. I hold DELF B2 and DALF C1 certifications and am available for weekday afternoons and weekend workshops. Outside tutoring, I curate a monthly French film screening series, fostering a community of francophone learning in Seattle.

I host immersive French masterclasses—conducting lessons entirely in French and using authentic resources (news articles, podcasts, short films) to develop French listening and reading comprehension. We practice everyday conversation—café dialogues, cultural discussions—and refine French writing (formal letters, essays). I also prepare students for DELF and DALF exams with tailored practice tests, oral interview simulations, and detailed grammar reviews.
