About Imogen
I have been teaching the flute for over 5 years and have experience as a private tutor, a peripatetic tutor and as a music service tutor, ranging from beginner to ABRSM Grade 8 and above. I have also been involved with education initiatives such as the National Youth Orchestra’s
Inspire Programme as a team leader and as a support staff member of the National Children’s Orchestra. I also play professionally in orchestras across London, and have worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the English National Opera Orchestra.

As a tutor, I aim to create a tailor-made programme for every student as each individual has a different approach to learning. Having taught a variety of ages, I am confident in my ability to motivate students to realise their full potential by providing constructive ways of practising and developing each week. Learning a musical instrument should be fun for every student, and with my experience of working in professional orchestras, I am able to bring my own passion and enthusiasm for music to each lesson.
