About Emma

I have a degree in Naturopathy from Endeavour College in Sydney Australia and a diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition from IHN Vancouver Canada. In line with the requirements of my profession, I complete Continuing Education units each year and frequently attend industry seminars. My knowledge base encompasses nutrition, herbal medicine, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology and mind-body connection. My particular areas of interest are the use of herbal medicine and the optimisation of the brain and nervous system.

About the lesson

I am here to teach you whatever you would like to know, from the fields of nutrition and herbal medicine! I will provide you with content that is relevant and interesting to you, foster discussion and answer your questions. Knowledge in this area is useful whether you would like to learn for your own interest, or to provide a foundation to better understanding your health or the health of your family and friends.

Topics you may be interested in include:

- Hormone balancing

- The heart and cardiovascular system
- Brain health
- Gentle detoxification practices

- Safe and effective herbal medicines

I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 5 years, so I am used to meeting students where they are at and adapting how I teach accordingly. My background in education serves me well, and many nutrition colleagues have commented on how effective I am at breaking down complex concepts to make them as easy as possible to understand. What's more, I absolutely love teaching, and I am excited whenever I get to share what I am passionate about!

If you would like to work with me as a client, I can offer you my full nutrition and naturopathy services which include:
- A discussion of your health goals
- A thorough case history, where I listen to your story and ask you LOTS of questions about your health over your lifetime
- An explanation of lab results you may have
- An understanding of how your symptoms relate to your overall health status and behaviours
- Emailed within 48 hours: a detailed outline of concepts discussed during the consultation, plus recommendations for dietary advice, nutritional supplements, herbal medicines and lifestyle habits, as appropriate for you

Initial consultation (1 hour): $120 CAD
Follow-up consultation (40 minutes): $70 CAD
Acute care consultation (20 minutes): $40 CAD - must be a previous client. This is a good option in the case of something sudden coming up that you would like nutritional or herbal assistance with - eg. getting a cold, going through a period of stress, having an upset stomach, etc.
