About the lesson

What I Teach
Fundamental principles of Design Thinking the Design Thinking process steps, and awareness of some of the tools used in Design Thinking. You will gain the skills required in today’s marketplace with a hands-on program.

Our aim is to train students and engineers about the standard industrial procedures and steps involved in product designing from ground zero. Starting from how to hire a client until the final product delivery stage.

The module that will be covered during the session is as follows.
⦁ Steps involved in hiring a client
⦁ Concept generation
⦁ Sketching
⦁ Concept testing
⦁ 3d modeling
⦁ Software assembly/ simulation testing
⦁ Prototyping
⦁ Prototype testing
⦁ Error fixing
⦁ Quality check and prototype optimization
⦁ Design documentation
⦁ Product delivery.

Tools and technology

The course offers the students, exposure and hands own experience with the tools and technologies listed below

DESIGN SPARK MECHANICAL
SOLIDWORKS
SKETCHUP
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ACTUATOR CONTROLLING ARDUINO PROGRAMMING SENSOR CONTROLS
MECHANICAL PART DESIGN AND ASSEMBLY 3D PRINTING

The course is designed in such a way that the student/candidate will be allowed to work in parallel with the product design team of the company and he or she will follow the same steps and procedures associated with an industrial product design work.

Assignments
The students will be given assignments once in every week and the results will be evaluated by a product design engineer.

Outcome
Learning outcomes:

⦁ Learn about standard design documentation
⦁ Learn about freelancing and how to become a product designer by yourself.

⦁ Learn about electro-mechanical actuator systems and control
⦁ Learn about microprocessor programming.
⦁ Learn more about product design and prototypes and its role in business.
⦁ Students who perform well in the assignments will be considered for future paid projects in the company.
⦁ Upon successful completion of the assignments and training, the certificate will be granted in the name of the participant.
