About Idris
I am an experienced French tutor with 8+ years of teaching experience, having worked with 150–200 students from various backgrounds and proficiency levels. My goal is to help each student achieve fluency through a structured yet flexible learning approach.
I strongly believe in personalised learning and design lessons that align with each student’s goals, whether it is exam preparation, academic improvement, or conversational skills. This ensures that every session is meaningful and productive.
My teaching methods include interactive exercises, real-life conversations, and practical applications that enhance understanding and retention. I also focus on strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation to build a solid foundation.
With a patient and supportive teaching style, I encourage students to participate actively and learn confidently. I am committed to helping learners develop both skill and confidence in French.

My approach to teaching French combines structure and adaptability through flexibility, empathy, compassion, communication, and collaboration. I design lessons that are tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring that learning remains effective, engaging, and aligned with their goals.
Empathy and compassion allow me to understand each learner’s challenges and provide the support needed to overcome them. I emphasise communication by encouraging students to actively use French in conversations, discussions, and guided exercises. This helps build both confidence and fluency over time.
Collaboration is an important part of my teaching, as I involve students in interactive activities such as role-plays, problem-solving tasks, and real-life scenarios.
In addition to French, I integrate grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and cultural understanding to create a well-rounded learning experience. My goal is to help students develop strong language skills and the confidence to communicate effectively in diverse situations.
