About Honi
I am a passionate piano tutor with 7 years of experience teaching students of all ages, from school beginners to college learners and working professionals. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive, positive, and motivating environment where students feel confident to explore music, develop their technical skills, and express themselves creatively.
I have guided students through recitals, competitions, and graded exams, helping them gain recognition for their dedication and accomplishments. My lessons include technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, all tailored to the student’s individual goals, pace, and interests.
I combine structured practice with creative exercises to make learning piano both productive and enjoyable while fostering discipline, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

I believe teaching should be personal, encouraging, and interactive. My lessons are built on compassion, communication, and support, allowing students to feel comfortable exploring their musical abilities. In piano, I combine technical exercises with creative pieces that suit each student’s level, ensuring progress is steady and enjoyable.
I communicate clearly, giving step-by-step guidance and feedback that helps students improve without stress. Supportiveness is central to my style—I celebrate successes and provide encouragement when students face difficulties.
This methodology extends to other subjects I teach, such as music theory and reading skills, where I emphasise understanding concepts through practical examples.
My aim is to create a nurturing learning environment that fosters confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
