About Lucille
My name is Lucille, and I am a 15-year-old specialist musician majoring in piano at the internationally renowned Wells Cathedral School, one of the five established music schools in the UK. I am currently under the tutelage of Prof. John Byrne, a professor at the Royal College of Music.
I hold a substantial scholarship at the school and passed the Trinity Diploma ATCL with distinction at the age of 13 and the LTCL (equivalent in standard to the final year recital of an undergraduate degree) at the age of 14.
I have won many prizes in local piano competitions, such as the Mid Somerset Festival. In 2023, I won the title of Taunton Junior Young Musician (of all instruments) and in 2024 I was placed second in the Taunton Young Musician Competition, which is open to any musician under 19.
I have also achieved success in international junior piano competitions. To name a few, I won 1st Prize in Category D at the Milano Piano Talents (Italy). I received the Grand Prix and a €1000 cash prize at the 31st Concours Flame (France). Additionally, I won 2nd Place in Category II at the 3rd Ricard Viñes Piano Kids and Youth Competition (Spain), receiving a €500 cash prize.
I have been selected to participate in masterclasses with many of the world’s most prestigious piano teachers, including Angela Hewitt, Christopher Elton, Arie Vardi, Akiko Ebi, and Jacques Rouvier.
I perform in many concerts throughout the year. In the summer of 2022, I was invited to play a Mozart Concerto with the "Master Orchestra" under the baton of Sergio Baietta in Italy.
I am well-mannered, friendly, and patient. As a piano student myself, I understand the challenges of learning the piano. I will help you overcome these obstacles and make your musical journey more enjoyable.

What I Offer:
• Fun and engaging piano lessons tailored to beginners and intermediate players.
• A focus on building strong foundations, confidence, and a love for music.
• Lessons suitable for children and early teens.
Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your preference.
When I was a beginner, my teacher used Faber Piano Adventures, which I found fun and stimulating. I’ve chosen to use the same series for my students:
• For ages 5–6, I’ll use My First Piano Adventure.
• For ages 6–11, I’ll use Piano Adventures Basic.
• For ages 12–17, I’ll use Accelerated Piano Adventures.
• For ages 18–98, I’ll use Adult Piano Adventures.
For students following ABRSM or Trinity syllabuses, I’m happy to teach up to Grade 5/6.

Deadly! Lucille has been a fantastic piano teacher to our 7 year old. Despite not being the biggest fan of practising, our daughter progressed quickly under Lucille’s guidance. She is a patient and diligent teacher, and a lovely person.
