About Paisley
Focusing on the mechanics of tuning and maintenance makes the instrument feel like an extension of your own body. Sometimes I worry that students overlook the basics while rushing toward complex soloing. My lessons for intermediate learners and grade exam candidates prioritize ear training and consistent habits.
I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level and discuss your musical history. Using the rigorous training from my BMus degree, I ensure every concept is clear. I look forward to supporting your progress with clarity and warmth.

Cold guitar strings against my fingertips at dawn remain the clearest memory of my early training. I hold a BMus from the UBC School of Music, where I balanced violin-primary work with dedicated guitar studies. Guiding 148 students through complex chord transitions and electric technique has defined my professional life. I genuinely enjoy the process of teaching intermediate learners and self-taught players who crave actual structure.
Helping a young student master blues progressions is satisfying work. I have 13 years of experience in this field. I hope to see you in the studio soon.
