About Elaine

A technically trained dancer, choreographer, instructor, and artist, Elaine holds a bachelor’s degree from Grambling State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Texas Woman’s University.

Elaine founded the Anointed Saints of Praise Dance Ministry in 2006 where she continues as director and choreographer today, leading the ministry to host an Annual Praise Dance Explosion creating and hosting a workshop series called the Toolbox Dance Ministry Workshops. Accolades for Anointed Saints of Praise Dance Ministry include two Liturgical Dance/Mime Team of the Year nominations for the Rhythm of Gospel Awards in 2018 and 2019, and the 4th Annual Key of Gospel Music and Ministry Awards in 2019.

As an instructor, Elaine’s motivation is to help those that will follow with the knowledge she has gained while emphasizing that all women and men can dance.

Elaine has performed in music videos for several gospel recording artists, the televised Annual TBAAL Black Music & Civil Rights Movement Concert, Mahogany Dance Theatre of Texas, program, and choreographed the Disney Descendants Musical Production at Bessie Coleman Middle School, Cedar Hill TX. Elaine's work has been described as a "spontaneous ray of light" in not just praise dance but in her Hip Hop, African, Ballet, lyrical, and musical theater choreographic productions and students.

About the lesson

As a dancer/choreographer with over 20 years of dance experience, I offer choreography & lessons in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, lyrical, contemporary, step, musical theater, African, and liturgical/praise dance for privates, classes, workshops, and conferences.

My goal is to link your passion to your movement and help guide you in developing your own artistry and movement. Lessons are personalized and tailored around you and your needs, starting at your level, meeting you where you are, establishing your current needs, wants, and goals at the first lesson. I break down required technique, body placement, and the '"how to's" of each dance style. We will move at your pace and I will encourage you every step of the way. You will build confidence while working hard and focusing on your craft!
