About Harrison
I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years and have had the opportunity to work with around 150 High School and College students. Throughout this journey, I have developed a teaching style that focuses on clear communication, patience, and continuous encouragement. I believe learning should be enjoyable, practical, and suitable for every student's ability.
My lessons are carefully planned to improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I explain concepts using simple language and provide plenty of opportunities for students to practice. Interactive activities, role-playing, quizzes, and real-life conversations help students become active learners instead of passive listeners.
One of my teaching priorities is building confidence. I encourage students to ask questions, express themselves freely, and learn from their mistakes without fear. Regular assessments and personalized feedback help students monitor their progress and stay motivated.
Teaching around 150 students has been an important milestone in my career. Seeing learners improve their grades, communicate more confidently, and develop genuine interest in Spanish gives me great satisfaction. Their achievements inspire me to continue growing as a tutor.
I believe that with dedication, consistency, and the right guidance, anyone can learn Spanish successfully. My aim is to provide every student with a supportive learning experience that helps them achieve both academic success and personal growth.

My teaching philosophy is built around creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability because I believe these values create confident and successful Spanish learners. Every lesson is carefully planned to be engaging, practical, and suitable for the student's individual learning needs.
I include conversations, role plays, storytelling, games, pronunciation practice, listening exercises, reading comprehension, writing tasks, and authentic materials to help students improve every language skill together. Students participate actively and learn by using Spanish from the very beginning.
Critical thinking is encouraged through guided grammar practice, vocabulary exploration, and communication activities that help students apply what they learn in meaningful situations. This approach strengthens understanding and encourages independent thinking.
As a mentor, I provide continuous encouragement, honest feedback, and patient guidance. I believe learning becomes more effective when students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Accountability helps students remain motivated and organized. I establish learning goals, monitor progress carefully, provide regular revision, assign useful homework, and offer detailed feedback that supports continuous improvement.
Besides Spanish, I teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary development, conversation practice, reading, writing, listening comprehension, beginner Spanish, travel Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture. Practical communication remains the focus of every lesson.
My objective is to help students achieve confidence, fluency, and a lifelong interest in learning Spanish.
