About Sophie
I'm Sophie, a professional ballet dancer with over a decade of experience performing internationally with companies such as Royal New Zealand Ballet, BalletMet, and Texas Ballet Theater. I trained at Ballet Arte in California and the Miami City Ballet Pre-Professional Division, and my career has taken me across the U.S. and abroad, performing both classical and contemporary works. I’m also the founder of Pointeworks, a company dedicated to creating opportunities for artists and bringing innovative ballet to new audiences. As a teacher, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge, supporting young dancers, and helping them grow with confidence, discipline, and artistry.

As a teacher, I prioritize artistry, musicality, and clean technique, helping dancers build confidence and versatility. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals—whether preparing for auditions, refining pointework, or deepening performance quality. A typical session includes a full barre, center work with a focus on alignment and expression, and personalized feedback. Drawing from my international career and experience with both classical and contemporary repertoire, I aim to mentor dancers in a supportive, professional environment. Lessons are ideal for intermediate to pre-professional ballet students (ages 12+) seeking focused, individualized training.
