About Marta
I am an Italian physiotherapy student. I graduated in Italy and I moved to Edinburgh last year to attend a Master program in Physiotherapy. Back in Italy, I acquired a considerable tutoring experience: I tutored several high school students in various subjects, such as Italian, History and Phylosophy, Maths and Physics. I also taught English to several students, at both primary and high school levels. I helped them throughout the academic years with their homeworks, as well as tutored some of them towards English Language Examinations (e.g. PET, FIRST, TOEFL). Last year, I started teaching Italian, my native language, to fellow university students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

I usually program my lessons based on the student's Italian level, also focusing on his/her needs, interests and ambitions at learning or improving the language. Because my personal experience taught me that learning a new language is best achieved when that language is actively used, I also try to encourage students to put what they have learned into practice. To sum up, my methodology is based on the idea that learning a new language must be useful, fun, and engaging.
