Learn Japanese with a friendly native speaker offering personalized lessons for beginners to advanced students. My lessons focus on practical communication, natural pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary building, and confidence in real-life conversation. I customize each lesson based on each student’s age, level, interests, and goals.

About Me:
I am a native Japanese speaker and business professional living in the United States. For the past 6 years, I have been teaching private, semi-private, and corporate Japanese lessons to children, students, and professionals. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and customized to help students feel comfortable and confident learning Japanese in real-life situations.

About the lesson

Learn Japanese with a friendly native speaker offering personalized lessons for beginners to advanced students. My lessons focus on practical communication, natural pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary building, and confidence in real-life conversation. I customize each lesson based on the student’s age, level, interests, and learning goals.

Deadly! I loved meeting with Mrs.Keiko for the first time she is so welcoming and energetic and makes sure I understood anything and everything we talked about. I cannot wait to meet her again sometime this month.she’s an excellent teacher and it seems like she’s been teaching for bit longer so she’s very experienced.

Keiko is a great coach/tutor. I studied Japanese in college. I have never traveled to Japan but I plan to do so next year. Once there, I would like to have basic speaking skills regarding ordering food, transit usage, receiving directions, and small travel conversations.

I am 3 months into re-introducing myself to Japanese using Duolingo, Kana Quiz 2, Kanji Quiz, MemRise, and WaniKani. These have been great apps to refresh my memory and rebuild my vocabulary. However, the best way to reach my goal is to speak Japanese to a person. Keiko fits perfectly.

Our first meeting was great. The conversation was 30/70 percent Japanese to English. I was able to test my ability to on-the-fly person to person. FYI, I didn’t do so well, hence 70% English. She gave me pointers on grammar; inflection; vocab; verb/adjective conjugation (for lack of a better description); and most importantly, a study strategy.

I know I will not be fluent once in Japan, but I do feel Keiko is the right person to get me to my goal. I look forward to working with Keiko. I totally recommend her.
