About Teresa
I have just completed a Master’s degree in Asian and African Languages and Cultures at the University of Naples “l’Orientale” with top marks.
From 2025 to 2026, I spent a year at Tōhoku University (Sendai, Japan) conducting research and studying Japanese. From 2023 to 2024, I worked as a peer tutor for Japanese Language II (second level) at “l’Orientale”. During this time, I realised that conveying my knowledge in a simple way is what I want to do every day.
I have numerous artistic interests and passions, and I love taking on new challenges.
As a tutor, I have received a great deal of positive feedback from students who, thanks to my lessons and the study method I provided, successfully passed the Japanese Language II exam.

For complete beginners, I will provide effective materials and methods to help you start reading and writing your first words and sentences.
Subsequently, we will use the textbook ‘Genki – An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese’ as a reference. We will tackle the basics of Japanese grammar by working through a text, analysing it in detail to understand each structure in a simple and effective way; we will focus on the immediate recognition of grammatical constructions, thereby developing conscious reading skills and a solid foundation for translating and speaking correctly.
