About Míchéal

I am a friendly, encouraging teacher who pays attention to detail. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual learner and place an emphasis on having fun!

I am still good friends with all my pupils and have received very positive feedback from every one.

Having grown up in Fukuoka, Japan, I have a great understanding not only of the Japanese language, but of Japanese culture also! I incorporate elements of Japanese culture into each lesson.

About the lesson

My main focus is to help you learn at your own pace. I incorporate games, songs and drawing into my lessons to aid the learning process and encourage active learning.

Lessons are 1hr long, I am flexible about this.

I have experience teaching group classes of all ages over Zoom. I have taught primary school age children in a school setting. I often work within the community promoting Japanese culture and language.

I work with beginners, intermediate learners and those who want to approach learning Japanese casually.
