About David
I’m an experienced jazz drummer offering lessons in jazz and beyond - including general drumset technique, snare drum, reading, listening skills, and more.
I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.
I’ve studied with world-class drummers such as Gregory Hutchinson, Ari Hoenig, Steve Lyman, Josh Jones, and Carl Allen, and I bring their insights into my teaching.
I’ve performed at many of London’s leading jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s, the Vortex, the 606 Club, 91 Living Room, and Next Door Records, and I run my own jazz jam in the heart of the city. In our lessons, we can focus on key areas such as sound, time, feel, touch, independence, rhythmic vocabulary, fundamentals, snare work, improvisation and theory. I also provide listening recommendations tailored to each student at the end of every session.
