About Gemma
My teaching methodology is built on three core principles: communication, patience, and adaptation. I believe that effective communication is key to understanding a student's needs and goals. By keeping an open dialogue, I ensure that every lesson is tailored to each student's individual learning style. Patience is at the heart of my teaching. Learning an instrument like the guitar can be challenging, but I provide a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning at their own pace. I also adapt my lessons to each student's learning style, whether they prefer hands-on practice, visual aids, or step-by-step explanations. This ensures that every student learns in a way that suits them best. In addition to guitar, I also teach relevant subjects like music theory, improvisation, and ear training, which help students become well-rounded musicians. My goal is to build confidence, enhance skills, and inspire a lifelong love of music.

I am a passionate guitar tutor with 3 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over this time, I have had the privilege of guiding around 150 students on their musical journey. Teaching allows me to share my love for music while helping students discover their unique talents and strengths.
My focus is on building strong foundations in guitar playing, including technique, theory, and performance. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and composition, helping students express themselves through music. Watching students progress from learning their first chords to performing confidently is incredibly rewarding.
Throughout my career, I have celebrated many milestones with my students, from mastering challenging songs to performing in school and college events. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong love for music, build confidence, and provide a supportive environment where every student can achieve their musical dreams.
