About Ernesto
I'm a professional guitarist, composer and producer based in Mexico, and I've spent the last 20 years splitting my life between the stage, the studio and teaching. I perform regularly with my own jazz projects, produce and arrange music for other artists, and write my own material — teaching isn't something separate from that, it's part of the same craft.
What I bring to a lesson is a musician who's still actively doing the thing you want to learn. I understand how it really feels to sit in front of an instrument, get stuck on the theory, and find a way through — and I love helping students get past exactly those walls.
Over the years I've taught more than 90 students, from total beginners to serious players developing their own voice. My approach is patient, structured, and completely adapted to the person in front of me.

My lessons are for musicians who can already play but feel lost when it comes to theory, harmony and improvisation — the "why" behind the music. Instead of dry, abstract rules, we connect every concept directly to real playing: how chords are built, why progressions work, how to read and hear harmony, and how to actually improvise over changes with confidence.
Whether you want to understand jazz harmony, start composing and arranging your own music, or finally make sense of everything you've been playing by ear, we build a plan around your instrument, your level and your goals.
Every lesson is fully personalised and completely practical. Lessons are online, with studio-quality sound and a clear, patient, structured approach that turns theory into something you can use the moment you pick up your instrument.
