I’m so grateful that I got connected to Jihye on a previous teaching platform. I was looking for a Korean language teacher for my husband, who is not Korean. Although I speak fluently, I wanted to take lessons with him to build on my fundamentals and especially with reading and writing. Jihye is the perfect fit — she is patient and good at explaining concepts with real life examples, and she has all the right resources to aid in our studies. She is able to pivot and adapt to our needs each week, and we have so much fun learning from her.

I found Jihye on Yelp a few months ago and she's been absolutely fantastic. I started lessons because my wife is Korean and I wanted help communicating better with my extended family. What I got on top of that was a really fun class I look forward to every week. Jihye is incredibly engaging, bright, and has this great way of breaking down tough concept so they actually make sense. She's patient, funny, and somehow makes grammar drills feel like a conversation with a friend. On top of the language, she's also given me a window into culture and custom that has helped me better understand how to communicate with my in-laws. If you're thinking about learning Korean but don't know where to start, I can't recommend her enough.

Jihye has made Korean both accessible and incredibly enjoyable for me. Her extensive linguistic knowledge coupled with her excellent teaching skills has given me a more nuanced understanding of the language in a way much deeper than any book or video could provide me.
