About Robi
Robi has played and sung in many professional settings from Chamber and Concert choirs, Jazz and Latin Jazz concerts, blues and jazz clubs, concert halls, weddings, hall parties, and the list goes on! He has also taught at private schools, music academies, in-studio, and online.
Robi currently teaches 1-on-1 In-Person, In-Home, and Online Music Lessons.
Some of Robi’s greatest musical achievements are teaching students to strive for and achieve their musical and non-musical life goals. And then watching their transformation and love for music grow before his eyes!
Other personal musical achievements have been performing with Universal Gospel Choir at the Dali Lama Conference and singing with UGC onstage with the Four Canadian Tenors at the Chan Center in Vancouver, being featured on solo flute with the Sal Ferreras VCC Latin Jazz band at the Chan Center, jamming on blues sax with the Ike Turner band at the Edmonton Blues Festival, touring, performing, and singing across Canada, and collaborating/recording with local artist.

Music lessons are highly empowering and help boost students’ confidence. My name is Robi Varga. I have 20+ years of teaching experience teaching music to students in an intimate setting: 1-on-1, small group, and online music instrument lessons. I am an Elite Educator of the UMT Music Theory program where I teach Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Music Rudiments—the precursor to Applied Jazz Theory and Advanced Improvisation.
Understanding Music Theory helps music students communicate the language of music with one another.
Robi Varga Music Academy teaches:
