About Asanda
Zulu is my first language. I started attending an English-speaking school when I was 8 years old. The change was so sudden and scary that I thought I wouldn't make it at the new school. I could barely understand the language, but I was lucky enough to have gotten a teacher that was patient and kind, someone who approached their job with love. Through their tutelage, I was able to catch up to the other students. It is she who inspired me to want to do the same for others.
