About Toby
- 10+ years of experience at various Oxford language schools - OIC, OISE, Eckersley School of English, King's, working with an enormous range of nationalities and competencies. - 10+ years working as a private tutor for all ages between 8 and university-level, helping different students discover their best methods for learning and interpretation, and providing the right kind of encouragement and structure to suit them personally. - 5 years working as a journalist; so when I say I can write, I mean, people pay me to do it. My experience as a tutor spans the entire range of competencies, academic requirements and nationalities. I have more than ten years experience working both as a private tutor, and at language schools in Oxford, England. I've taught Japanese businessmen how to improve their spoken English, I've taught English schoolkids how to engage with texts and structure essays to pass public exams, I've taught international students how to deal with the English-speaking university syllabus. Separately, I've worked for a number of media publications, as you'll see if you Google me. I can teach you what you need - and, as a bonus ball, I'm fun and friendly.
