About Randy
"Beginners through adult learners form the core of my home studio in San Francisco. A small confession is that I remain deeply curious about the intersection of classical precision and jazz improvisation. I hold a BMus from The Juilliard School and have spent 13 years refining how to teach scales, arpeggios, and ear training.
My instruction covers complex areas like hand independence, posture, and pedaling technique for ABRSM or Trinity exams. Pop and contemporary styles receive the same rigorous attention as classical repertoire. These components simply become second nature."

I combine conservatory discipline with a jazz-adjacent sensitivity that helps bridge the gap between sight reading and creative expression.
