About Ottis
I am a passionate Spanish tutor with 9 years of experience teaching High School and College students. Throughout my career, I have focused on helping students become confident, independent learners by providing lessons that are carefully tailored to their individual needs.
I believe that personalized learning creates the best results because every student has a different way of understanding new concepts. By taking the time to identify each learner's strengths and challenges, I develop lessons that encourage steady progress and long-term success.
My classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and conversational Spanish. I use simple explanations, practical examples, and interactive learning activities that help students understand the language in a natural and enjoyable way.
Every lesson is designed to encourage active participation, allowing students to practice regularly and improve their confidence with every session. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build positive relationships with students. I create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from mistakes.
I regularly assess progress and adjust lesson plans whenever needed so students continue moving toward their goals. I also enjoy introducing students to the culture of Spanish-speaking countries through traditions, customs, music, and everyday expressions. This helps learners connect with the language on a deeper level while improving their communication skills.
My commitment to personalized learning allows every student to receive focused attention and continuous encouragement. My goal is to help students achieve academic success while developing practical Spanish skills they can confidently use in everyday life.

My teaching approach is designed to help students develop practical Spanish skills through structured lessons and active participation. I teach with compassion by understanding each learner's unique challenges, with integrity by providing clear and honest feedback, and with adaptability by adjusting lessons to suit different learning styles.
Every class includes grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, listening, speaking, and writing practice. I use real-life situations, discussions, role-playing, and interactive activities to encourage natural communication. Students receive continuous encouragement and regular progress reviews that help them stay motivated and achieve their goals.
I believe learning should be engaging, so I create lessons that are interesting, organized, and easy to follow. Besides Spanish, I teach grammar, conversational Spanish, pronunciation, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, writing, listening practice, DELE preparation, business Spanish, travel Spanish, Hispanic culture, and communication skills.
My objective is to help students gain fluency, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of the Spanish language.
