About Hyunghee

Hi! I’m Christine Koo, a passionate and experienced Korean teacher who loves to help people. I graduated from Seoul National University of Education and worked as an elementary school teacher in Korea for 9 years. I also studied Educational Counseling and Children’s Ministry in graduate school, which has helped me understand and support students more effectively. After moving to the U.S., I taught at a weekend Korean school for 6 years. Currently, I am a Korean language teacher at a private school in Maryland, teaching students of various ages and backgrounds. It brings me so much joy to see people around the world eager to learn Korean. I’m here to guide you every step of the way—whether you’re just starting with Hangul or aiming to master advanced Korean. I look forward to helping you enjoy learning Korean and reach your language goals!

About the lesson

1. Teaching Method and Technique
I teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a fun and structured way. I specialize in helping beginners to read Hangul/Korean easily. Lessons include real-life dialogues, cultural content, and plenty of practice tailored to each student’s level and goal.

• Warm-up: Short review or conversation
• Main Lesson: Vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and speaking • Practice: Role plays or writing
