About Aarshiyaa

I am punctual. I am friendly and easygoing but I do believe in giving homework. I like planning my classes. I have a good amount of experience in successfully teaching private lessons, corporate Spanish and university-level Spanish. A lot of my students that I taught years ago still wish me on Teachers' Day and it makes my day:)

About the lesson

I love interacting with my students and making my classes fun through activities that help the students' communication skills. I would say I focus on the communicative and task-based approach so that language becomes a means to express oneself in the real world. My lessons are customized for different age groups and the specific needs of my students. I am as much at home teaching Spanish to a four-year-old as I am preparing university students for a literature paper or older professionals for a DELE exam. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am not native and Spanish is an acquired language (It was my fourth language!) that I have spoken like my native language for more than half of my life. The art of language acquisition is easier taught by people that have gone through a similar process and gained mastery in the language. Additionally, I would say that I like to share my experiences and form connections with my students so that the classroom becomes more than a means to a professional end. Rather I strive to make it a space for personal expression and something students are motivated to pursue because the journey to learn a new language is fulfilling in itself.
