About Daniel

I am passionate about teaching because I believe in the transformative power of education. Language, in particular, is a gateway to new worlds, cultures, and opportunities. My desire to teach stems from a genuine love for helping students discover the beauty and utility of languages.

Language learning can be a daunting journey for many, and I want to be the guide who makes it an enjoyable and empowering experience. My teaching philosophy, grounded in active pedagogies and constructivism, is designed to not only impart language skills but also to inspire confidence in students. I want every student to feel that they can communicate effectively in a new language, whether it's Spanish or English.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is built on active pedagogies, communicative learning, and constructivism, designed to create engaging and effective language learning experiences. Here's a breakdown of my approach:

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I prioritize interactive and student-centered learning. Instead of traditional grammar-focused methods, I believe in immersing students in the language through real-life scenarios, discussions, and hands-on activities. I encourage open dialogue, cultural exploration, and practical application of language skills. This approach helps students not only learn the language but also enjoy the process and retain knowledge better.

Typical Length of a Lesson:
My lessons typically last for 60 minutes, as this duration strikes a balance between covering substantial material and maintaining students' engagement. However, I'm flexible and can adjust the lesson length to suit the needs and preferences of my students.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
I hold a BA in Langua Teaching and have several years of experience as a language tutor. My experience includes tutoring for English standardized exams like GCSE and ICFES, where I've successfully applied my pedagogical approach to help students excel. My experience as a foreign language teacher, particularly in Spanish and English, has equipped me with a deep understanding of language acquisition and teaching methodologies.

Who Are My Lessons For:
My lessons are tailored to a wide range of learners. I have experience working with students of various proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Additionally, I have taught both children and adults, adapting my teaching methods to meet their unique needs and goals. My approach is flexible, ensuring that I can accommodate a diverse range of students, whether they're learning a language for personal, academic, or professional purposes.

Ultimately, my approach is student-centered and adaptable, with a focus on fostering a passion for language learning and providing students with practical language skills that they can use in real-life situations.
