About Jean

I am currently a student. Originally from Italy, I have lived and have been brought up in London all my life - despite being new to tutoring, I have frequently helped relatives with translation over the years. I have also had significant success in my examinations, achieving A* in all my English exams to date. Aside from academic success, my background in languages means I am well suited to understanding how people think: English can be daunting at first, but having someone understand how you think depending on your native language is infinitely valuable and makes the process much easier.

About the lesson

My teaching method is fairly simple and student led. Depending on the skill-level of the student, classes will be based on basic comprehension, accent and vocabulary, with particular focus on idioms and certain linguistic differences specific to English. I am flexible with regards to this, so I am happy to tailor classes to the needs of every individual. If a student prefers to learn by full immersion, by doing exercises or by analysing and watching films in their target language, I am happy to fulfil their needs no matter what is required.
