About Annabel

I am from Australia, but have spent the last 6 years travelling around Asia and Europe. As such, I know what it's like to learn a new language and have experienced all the frustrations associated with trying to communicate clearly and effectively in this new language. I try as much as I can to use the lessons that I have learned personally to help my students. It always energises me to see my students happier and more confident in their ability to speak English, so this is always what I aim for.

I also have a law degree, a psychology degree and Masters in law, which I believe contributes to my effectiveness as a teacher. I am able to speak and communicate clearly with the student, as well as see from their perspective in order to provide a supportive and encouraging space for each student to learn.

About the lesson

I am a qualified TEFL teacher, also with a law degree and a psychology degree, who has experience in teaching adults online for 2 years. I provide a mix of lessons and coaching in English communication.

The way that I structure my sessions ensures that my students gain confidence in communicating in English, and then use this base of confidence to improve their skills in speaking, reading, writing and listening. I provide an encouraging space for students to speak freely, and I provide concise feedback and recommend several free, very useful resources tailored to each student's needs.

During a lesson with me, you will feel comfortable to make mistakes and will receive tips and tricks to help you improve the areas in which you are in need of work. After a lesson with me, you will have a greater understanding of grammar, phrasal verbs, and vocabulary. You will also feel more confident to speak English with other native or non-native speakers.

The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour, but I can be flexible as per the student's schedule.
