About Emily
Hello! I am Emily and I would love to be your tutor. I am passionate about the concept of knowledge, and I hold the communication skills needed to effectively work with you. I am a friendly and relatable student who has just finished her degree, so I completely understand the pressures and stress of education. I want to make a positive difference to your attitude towards education and the areas in which you struggle. We can work through anything together at a pace which you are most comfortable! My tutoring style adapts for individual needs. Sessions are usually 1-2 hours. The first half of the session focuses on any misunderstanding or struggles with content, whilst the second half aims to put this into practice by working together on the task. My sessions will always end with 10 minutes of reflection, to ensure the student has a better understanding and knows where to go next. I have two younger siblings who I 'tutor' regularly and I have experience tutoring informally at university. My lessons are mainly aimed at those doing A-levels or EPQs in college.
