About Gloria
I am a law student in my 3rd year but I’ve always loved English literature, it incorporates other subjects into it such as history and the research into all aspects of a book has always fascinated me. I want to teach because I know first hand the impact a good teacher, who enjoys the subject and what they do, can have on a student and their grades. I want to do for other students what was done for me.

My teaching methods will be very much based on the student’s needs but as a starting point, I need to know the books or topics they are currently studying, the grades they’re getting and what they’ve been told is needed to improve. Then we’ll go over the most effective ways in getting this done. The first half of the session would be annotating and analysing a piece of text from a book or a topic, theme etc. Then we’d spend the other half practising an exam style question (planning). If they’ve done an exam style question this half would be spent going over that. The runtime would be 1hr - 1 hr 15 mins depending on how much is done.
