About Shay

As a dedicated law student with over 10 years of experience tutoring primary school students, I bring both patience and structure to every lesson. About the lesson

TEACHING METHOD:
- I begin by observing and reviewing the student’s classwork and homework to identify gaps in understanding.

- Break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps

- Incorporate active recall and spaced repetition for better retention

- Regularly assess progress through short quizzes or exercises

- Most importantly, I create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

TYPICAL LESSON PLAN:

Each session is structured as follows:

- Check-in & Review – Discuss previous homework and clarify doubts (10–15 mins)

- Core Focus – Deep dive into the day’s topic, with interactive explanations and examples (25–30 mins)

- Practice Time – Student works through exercises with guided support (15–20 mins)

- Wrap-up – Summary, homework assignment, and a quick preview of the next topic (5 mins)

- Check-in message sent to parents after each session
