About Ash

I'm an enthusiastic qualified chef with 20+ years of expertise in Indian cuisines from different regions of India. This amazing journey began when I was about 10 years old and was intrigued by the variety of flavours we had in our every day Indian meals and hence I dived into learning the magic of spices and flavoursome cuisines while helping my mother prepare tasty meals!
I'm passionate about Indian cuisines and love imparting my culinary knowledge through private/group tutoring and community workshops.

Two fun facts about me:
I work in the products innovation space in Tech and Financial Services and for the love of cooking like to connect, teach and chat about food and travel!
I love traveling and appreciate delicacies from all around the world, so in order to learn about different techniques and flavours of preparing global cuisines I completed an intensive professional culinary course at Ashburton Cookery School and Chef's Academy in 2017 and qualified as a Professional Chef in Culinary Arts! So talk to me about Prawn Linguine, Macaroons, Thai fish cakes or a classic British fish and chips.. always up for sharing my learnings!

About the lesson

My teaching method is fun and fully hands on. You will learn to prepare all the dishes from scratch and in an easy to follow process.
We will cook a variety of authentic, wholesome and yummy Indian cuisines. Ideally popular complex dishes can be prepared in under 40 minutes (great for your favourite recipes and if you're planning for parties/social meals).
All classes will include the Recipe pack, ingredients list and essential tips to take your skills further.
At the end of the class:
* You'll be confident in using and balancing spices in Indian cuisines.
* You'll have gained a life skill with lots of knowledge in making Indian dishes at home.
* You'll have learned the huge difference between authentic home cooked Indian dishes and curry takeaways!
* You will enjoy the lovely veg / non veg dishes that you prepared from scratch.
