About Jeevan

I’m a professional Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute) teacher with a Master’s degree in Music from IIT (BHU), specializing in Bansuri, and I am UGC-NET qualified in Music.

I have been teaching music and Bansuri for 9+ years, both in person and online. I have taught students from different countries, backgrounds, and age groups, from complete beginners to more experienced musicians.

My goal is to make learning Bansuri simple, enjoyable, and structured. Whether you want to learn Indian classical music, Bollywood and devotional melodies, improve your flute technique, or simply enjoy playing the beautiful sound of the Bansuri, I can guide you step by step.

You don't need any previous musical experience to start. I will adapt the lessons to your level, interests, and goals.

About the lesson

My lessons combine the traditional Indian approach to learning Bansuri with a clear, practical, and personalised teaching style.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player, each lesson is adapted to your level and goals. We build a strong foundation step by step rather than simply memorising notes.

Depending on your interests, lessons can include:

Bansuri technique, posture and fingering
Producing a clear and beautiful flute tone
Breath control and stability
Notes, scales and melodies
Understanding and playing Indian ragas
Improvisation and musical expression
Bollywood and devotional melodies
Developing confidence and musicality

I focus on helping you understand how the music works so that you can gradually become an independent and confident Bansuri player.

Lessons are relaxed, supportive and completely personalised to your pace.

Deadly! It's been more than a month since I have been taking lessons from Jeevan ji and the learning journey has been great. His knowledge on the instrument and subject is authentic and teaching methodical. I was new to bansuri and even though it's a difficult instrument to even start, but thanks to Jeevan ji's I am already learning my 3rd song along with usual theory and svar / alankaar practice.

After the trial lesson, regular lessons are £30 per hour.
