About Taalanjali
Hello! I'm Taalanjali Thakur, a passionate flute player from a musical family with a deep appreciation for melody, rhythm, and musical expression.
My lessons are specially designed for beginner and intermediate students who want to build a strong foundation through a clear, step-by-step learning approach. I believe that every student can learn music with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice.
From the very first lesson, you'll learn the correct way to hold the flute, posture, breath control, tone production, finger techniques, and gradually progress to scales, exercises, and beautiful melodies. Every concept is taught in a logical sequence so that learning feels natural and enjoyable.
As your teacher, I focus on developing not only technique but also your musicality—helping you improve your sense of rhythm, timing, expression, and confidence. Students receive structured practice materials, lesson notes, and a step-by-step curriculum to support their progress between classes.
My goal is to make every lesson engaging, encouraging, and personalised so you can enjoy the journey of learning the flute while steadily improving your skills.
Hello! I'm Saalanjali Sahu, a professionally trained Indian flute (Bansuri) teacher and performer with a strong academic background in music.
I hold both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music, and received my formal musical education from the Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, one of India's most prestigious institutions for Indian classical music.
Coming from a musical family, I have been immersed in music from an early age, which has helped me develop a deep understanding of rhythm (Taal), melody (Raag), musical expression, and performance techniques.
For the past 8–10 years, I have been teaching and mentoring students of different ages and backgrounds. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-centred, ensuring that every learner develops a strong foundation while enjoying the learning process.
I specialise in one-to-one online lessons for beginner and intermediate students. Every lesson is personalised according to the student's goals, pace, and learning style. My aim is not only to teach flute techniques but also to help students develop confidence, musicality, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.

My lessons are exclusively designed for beginner and intermediate flute learners who want a clear, structured, and enjoyable learning experience.
The course follows a step-by-step curriculum, starting from Lesson 1, where you will learn how to hold the flute correctly, develop the right posture, produce your first clear note, and build a strong foundation. As you progress, each lesson introduces new techniques in a logical sequence, ensuring steady improvement without feeling overwhelmed.
Throughout the course, you will develop breath control, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm, scales, exercises, simple melodies, and essential musical skills at a comfortable pace. Every lesson builds upon the previous one, making learning systematic and easy to follow.
You will receive practice materials, lesson notes, exercises, and a structured practice plan after each class to help you make consistent progress between lessons. Regular feedback and personalised guidance ensure that you stay on track and achieve your musical goals.
All classes are conducted one-to-one online, allowing every lesson to be customised according to your learning speed, goals, and progress.
