About Ali
I am a British mother / national language speaker living in Barcelona, where I have been teaching English as a second language for three years. Before this, I lived in Milan, where I taught English as a private teacher and teacher to young children in a nursery. I currently live in Barcelona where I teach for a private language academy, in addition to giving business classes, telephone and online classes. I have a TEFL 120hr certificate, certificates from the Cambridge School of English in Barcelona for the seminars I attended, experience in exam preparation, I taught history to university students in the UK, business / company classes, after-school classes in schools public schools, teaching young people as well as adults, and a large archive of material and methodologies.

My approach is to try to involve the student and make the classes active instead of passive. I treat all students as equals and my goal is to foster a positive work ethic in the classroom. My students are always at the forefront of planning my lessons and class time. I enjoy teaching at any level and I see the challenge as an opportunity to grow my teaching experience.
