About Julien

Bonjour! I’m Julien, a native French speaker born and raised in Guadeloupe, with 15 years of teaching experience. Today I work in an American elementary school, where patient, one-on-one teaching is my everyday job.
I’ve traveled a lot, and I’ve met people from all over the world. That’s where I discovered what I love most about speaking another language: the connection. The moment you speak to someone in their language — even imperfectly — something opens. A smile appears. You can bring so much joy into someone’s day, and into your own, just by trying a few words. That smile is the reason I teach.
I’m also a dancer and a movement artist — I love yoga, photography, and everything that brings people together. I bring that same energy into my lessons: rhythm, play, and zero judgment.
My students describe me as patient, joyful, and encouraging. My promise is simple: with me, you won’t just study French. You will speak it, laugh in it, and connect with it — starting from your very first lesson.

About the lesson

My method is simple: you already know how to learn a language — you just have a confidence problem. And confidence is what I teach.
I’m a native French speaker from Guadeloupe with 15 years of teaching experience, working every day in an American school. I know exactly why English speakers freeze when it’s time to speak — and how to unlock them.
A typical lesson: we warm up with real conversation, review what you know, learn a handful of phrases you’ll actually use in real life, then play — games, role-play, laughter. You speak from minute one. After each lesson, you receive a personalized recap with the exact phrases we used, plus audio recordings of my voice to practice your pronunciation anytime.
What sets me apart? In my class, mistakes are celebrated — that’s how babies learn to talk, and it works for adults too. My lessons are for adult beginners and intermediate learners it could also be for children: travelers, professionals, heritage speakers reconnecting with their roots, or anyone who studied French for years and still can’t hold a conversation. Come nervous — you’ll leave speaking French, and smiling.
