About Sevilay
My name is Sevilay and I study Intercultural European and American Studies and Arabic Studies. I have been teaching German as a foreign language for 10 years, for example for AWO and Amnesty International. My classes have been for ages from 6 up to 65 years old! Some of them were in groups, some of them one on one.

For my classes, you don't need to download any apps or programs (so no Skype either). For the videocall, I use WhatsApp, and then we'll use a website where you can see what the other person is typing, so that way we can do exercises together and exchange material.
I work with German language books that I have used in classes for several years, for example, one called "Pluspunkt" and one called "Linie 1, German in everyday life and at work". You don't have to buy them, though: I will scan the pages we need for class. As soon as your level allows for it, I like to work with newspaper articles, because that way you don't only improve your language skills, but you also learn a lot about German culture, politics, and life in general. This will help you if you are preparing to actually live in Germany. I usually give homework because it's really important to also study outside of class in order to master the German language. Homework might mean watching a YouTube video, reading an article, or writing a small text. If you have any material or books yourself that you want to use, that's completely fine, we can also use your stuff. Depending on your needs, I will create material or exercises myself or use some that I have created in the past.

Details
The first lesson is free (it’s 45 mins, after that we can discuss how long you want the lessons to be, but in my experience one hour is perfect). After that, it costs €16 per 60 minutes if we do online classes. Offline classes cost €22 per 60 minutes.
You can cancel for free if it’s earlier than 24 hours before class. If you cancel within 24 hours before class, the fee is 50%.
