About Izzy
I didn't study music in college (studied Biology) but I grew up studying classical piano and then later taught myself rock guitar and drums. I studied classical guitar some in college and since then I've largely grown and maintained my skills by playing live in bands for the first few years out of college and then the last number of years I've been focused on making a bunch of studio recordings of my own songs and have kept up my guitar playing through that

I'm just starting to teach guitar but I've taught piano in the past and I'm excited to start teaching guitar as well! I mostly specialize in rock guitar and I feel like I would do a good job with beginners but also can each ear training and music theory. I can teach on both acoustic and electric and I feel like the skills are highly transferrable between them. I've also studied classical guitar so could help you get started in that if that's your specific interest as well. Happy to do online lessons as well as lessons in the Seattle area!
