About Zoya

I have been teaching guitar for over 8 years, combining my passion for music with my experience as a performer and composer. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Guitar Studies, which gave me a deep understanding of both technique and musical creativity. Music, to me, is more than just notes and rhythms—it’s a creative and lifelong skill that brings joy and self-expression. I enjoy working with students at all levels, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced musicians refining their style. Each student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to fit their goals and interests. My aim is to help them develop not only technical skills but also a genuine love for the guitar. I believe that learning music should be exciting and inspiring, encouraging students to explore their own voice. Through my own composing and performing, I bring real-world experience to my teaching. I encourage creativity and personal expression in every lesson. My commitment is to support each student’s growth and confidence. Together, we work towards making music a meaningful part of their lives.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping each student grow their guitar skills in a way that fits their style and goals. I start by building a strong foundation in fingerstyle playing, ensuring students learn proper technique and finger control. From there, I guide them through lead guitar phrasing, helping them understand how to play melodies that express emotion and tell a story. Creativity is important to me, so I encourage students to explore their own ideas through composition and personal expression.

I believe every student can improve with the right support and practice. Whether you want to dive into blues, rock, or other styles, I provide lessons that challenge and inspire you to become confident and skilled. I pay close attention to how students connect with the music and help them bring their own voice to their playing. My lessons balance technical exercises with fun songs to keep learning exciting.

I also teach important skills like improvisation and timing, which are key to playing lead guitar well. My goal is to support you in mastering the guitar in a way that feels natural and rewarding. Together, we work step by step, making complex ideas simple and achievable. With patience and guidance, I help students move beyond basics and reach their full potential.
