About Marco
After finishing high school in Italy, where I focused on Classics and humanities, I enrolled at the French university Sciences Po to study political science. I study in the international campus of Menton, near the border with Italy. There, I gained experience by teaching Italian to the immigrants staying at the refugee camp in Ventimiglia, while at the same time giving lessons to my university friends in my spare time. What's more, having been myself a student when I was learning English and French, I've experienced first-hand the difficulties of learning a foreign language and I'm here to help you overcome them.

I'm Marco, I'm Italian and I'm a university student in France, at Sciences Po Paris.
If I had to describe my teaching style in two words, they would simply be: complete flexibility. In the first lesson, I'll listen carefully to your expectations and goals, so that, together, we can build the learning format that suits you best. You will decide what is best for you. Whether you prefer being corrected every time you make a mistake or have a more laid-back conversation to familiarise yourself with the language, I will make sure to accommodate your choice, as I believe that everyone has a different way of learning things, therefore one standardized methodology imposed by the teacher would be counterproductive. At the end of each lesson, I always reserve a few minutes for the student's feedback, so that the content and format of the course can be better in each new lesson. Finally, if you wish, after each lesson I will send you a doc with the main topics we've covered so that you can consolidate what we've learned at your own pace.
Italian is a wonderful language and I look forward to helping you discover it and have fun with it. Let's get started!
