I have been working in the music industry as a composer, producer, mix & mastering engineer and as a session musician for over 30 years. Lessons are given using Pro Tools but everything you learn is transferable to your DAW of choice. I do recommend downloading the FREE Pro Tools|First as it will help you understand some of the techniques more easily.
