About Ana

I’m a piano and music teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. I started studying piano as a child and later continued my formal training at the Juan José Castro Conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have always continued learning and developing my skills with different piano teachers and professional musicians.

In 2014, I graduated from ENERC (National School of Experimentation and Filmmaking) as a Sound Designer for Audiovisual Media. My work in film, short films, and advertising gave me another perspective on music, sound, and musical expression.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked in music institutes, schools, and kindergartens, helping more than 200 students discover and develop their musical abilities.

My teaching combines piano with music theory, harmony, rhythm, improvisation, and musical expression. I have a special interest in Argentine and Latin American music, particularly tango and Argentine folk music.

I am also a pianist in Quitapenas, a Latin American music band, and we are currently preparing to record our first album.

My lessons are taught in Spanish. They are a great fit for Spanish-speaking students in the US, as well as anyone interested in Argentine music who would like to learn piano while experiencing the language and culture.

I believe that learning music should be a creative, enjoyable, and personal experience. My goal is to help each student develop confidence, musicality, and independence while discovering their own way of connecting with the instrument.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s level, interests, and goals. All lessons are taught in Spanish.

Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to piano after years away, or looking to deepen your musical knowledge, we can build a learning path that works for you.

Depending on your interests, lessons may include:

Piano technique and musical expression
Learning songs and building repertoire
Music reading and music theory
Harmony, chords, and accompaniment
Improvisation and creativity
Rhythm and musical listening
Argentine tango and folk music
Latin American music

I like to combine practical work at the piano with explanations that help you understand what you are playing. Rather than simply memorizing notes, you will learn how chords, rhythms, melodies, and musical structures work together.

We can also work with music you already enjoy. Choosing songs that are meaningful to you can make the learning process more motivating and personal.

My teaching approach is relaxed, encouraging, and creative. I respect each student’s pace and encourage experimentation, mistakes, questions, and exploration as part of the learning process.

For students interested in Argentine music, we can go deeper into the rhythms, harmonies, accompaniment patterns, and musical language of tango and Argentine folk styles.

The goal is not only to learn to play the piano, but to become increasingly confident, independent, and expressive as a musician.
