About Xavier

With over 5 years of experience as a dedicated music educator at both K-12 and undergraduate leves, I bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and professionalism to every lesson. Holding a B.A. in Music from La SIerra University and acquiring an M.M. In Commercial Music for California State University Los Angeles, I am deeply committed to guiding my students on their musical journey with patience, enthusiasm, and expertise.

My own journey as a musician both domestically and overseas has equipped me with invaluable insights into the challenges and joys of learning an instrument and/or musical skill.

As a tutor, I prioritize not only technical proficiency but also a deep understanding and appreciation of music as a whole. My primary goal is to empower my students to become confident, expressive musicians who find joy and fulfillment in their musical pursuits.

Ultimately, I strive to equip you with the tools necessary for you to diligently listen with your eyes and see the music with your ears. With me as your tutor, you can trust that you are in capable hands. Together, let’s unlock your highest potential as a musician, and turn time into beautiful sound!

About the lesson

As a dedicated tutor, I am committed to nurturing a passion for music while fostering comprehensive understanding and skill development in each of my students.

My teaching method revolves around personalized instruction tailored to individual learning styles and goals. Through a blend of traditional techniques and innovative pedagogies, I ensure students grasp fundamental concepts while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

What you’ll find in my lessons:
Typical lesson plans begin with warm-up exercises to build dexterity and coordination, followed by structured theory and technique work (this usually includes dictation and sight reading), and culminate in applying these skills to pieces tailored to the student’s proficiency level and personal interests.

What sets me apart is my ability to intersectionally adapt to each student’s unique needs, whether they’re beginners eager to embark on their musical journey or advanced learners striving for mastery in their craft.
