About Eitan

Hello, I'm Eitan, music teacher from France! I started teaching piano and music theory about 3 years ago when I graduated from university, teaching children and adults alike, in one-on-one lessons but also in group classes. I believe that every student is unique and I always try to find the method best suited to you! I also like to innovate and find fun ways of teaching: while teaching in a music school I turned my group classes into roleplay games and stories and, believe it or not, these children were eager to come to my class every week! Although one-on-one lessons offer less opportunity for this kind of games, they allow to go more in-depth into harmony, into how music works: with me, you won't just become a pianist, you will become a true musician!

About the lesson

I usually split the 1-hour lessons into half piano, half theory: The piano part is built around the student, depending of course on your level but mainly what kind of music you like. I try to give only little technical exercises (unless you ask for it!) and always in relation to the current piece. The theory part focuses not on rhythms and note-reading but rather on music harmony, how notes work together to form chords and how these chords create a unique atmosphere. My goal is to make you a true musician by teaching you how music really works, how to understand it and even how to make it. I will start from the basics and slowly build up to more complex chords and progressions, all while improving your musical ear.
