About Martin
As a musician I have sold over a million records, toured the world and recently had a No 1 album. I'm passionate about helping the next generation of songwriters find their voice.
I've written and recorded music for a successful BBC drama series and mentor young musicians who have gone on to have successful careers in the industry.
My music career spans over 35 years and I have taught music for 24 years including FE, HE and one-to-one provision.

As a former Head of Songwriting at BIMM, I'm an extremely experienced teacher and pride myself on tailoring lessons to meet the needs of students. I offer a free first hour to discuss what you want to get out of the lessons and genuinely see if I can help. I'm not looking for a large number of students, just a few who I think I can truly help improve their craft.
Although I have to state a price per lesson, I am happy to negotiate especially for students from a low-income background.

Details
I'm happy to discuss options on lesson length and prices. Sometimes an hour weekly isn't optimal, it all depends on the needs of the student. I've had students in the past where we have done 2/3 hour sessions fortnightly with tasks to complete in the interim. Basically everything is on the table and I think I can help develop a plan for each individual student that works.
